Sérgio Conceição disregarded the analysis to the victory over Vitória de Guimarães

The victory in Guimarães, for matchday 21 of Liga NOS, leaves FC Porto just one point away from the lead of the championship. However, the moment of the match was the substitution of Moussa Marega, who decided to leave the pitch after the racist insults from some fans of Vitória de Guimarães. After the 2-1 victory, Sérgio Conceição decided to not talk of the match, addressing only the racist situation that affected the number 11 of the Dragons.

The racist insults to Marega
“What I have to say, and I apologise to everyone for not talking of the match, is that this is shameful. The victory and the result are not important what something like this happens. We are enraged by what happened. I know the passion there is for Vitória, but I’m sure most fans doesn’t identify with the attitude of some people, who sat on the stands tonight, insulting Marega since warm-up. We are a family, regardless of nationality, regardless of the skin colour, height, hair colour... We are a family, we are human and we deserve respect. For me, what happened here is shameful. Just shameful.”
