A goal from Marcano 90 minutes in gave FC Porto the victory in Vizela (1-0)

This Sunday, FC Porto beat Vizela away, by 1-0, reaching the second victory in two matches in the League. The goal for the national champions was scored by Marcano, with a header, in the last minute of regular time.

Vizela took the pitch with the lesson well studied and it was very difficult for FC Porto to beat the organization of Álvaro Pacheco’s team. Proof of that is that the first dangerous shot came from a corner-kick and ended with Matheus Uribe shooting over the top in the heart of the area (8m). Shortly after, Mehdi Taremi headed the ball straight at Buntic (13m) in another attack of the national champions, who rarely allowed Vizela to create danger. The only noteworthy shot from the home team came from Nuno Moreira and went wide of Diogo Costa’s goal (34m).

27 seconds into the second-half, Gabriel Veron, sent in by Sérgio Conceição, almost opened the scoreboard: receiving the pass from João Mário, the Brazilian forward got the ball in good position inside the area and for Buntic the an almost impossible save. On the other end, Kiki Afonso aimed for goal without much danger (60m), while Galeno was centimetres away from a great goal (84m). When the tie seemed inevitable, the same Galeno crossed perfectly for the impressive header of Iván Marcano, who scored for the second time in two matches and was absolutely decisive for the three points in Vizela (90m).
