Youth League team played a key role in this campaign

The participation of FC Porto's Youth League team in the "Zero Hunger" campaign is the central theme of the social project presented this season to UEFA.

In each edition of the competition, UEFA encourages clubs to develop a social project and present it on video, and in other years, FC Porto's initiatives have even been distinguished by the entity that oversees European soccer.

This time, the presentation focuses on the team's participation in the campaign "Zero Hunger". All the athletes enrolled in the Youth League, as well as the coaching staff, collaborated in all phases of this project, which is one of the UN's sustainable development goals.

The action included several moments, from the collection of food at the Estádio do Dragão, during the game against CD Mafra for the League Cup, to the actual donation of goods and ending with their delivery to two charities in Porto, Coração da Cidade and Legião da Boa Vontade, and also directly to people in need.

This initiative allowed the team to enhance the spirit of mutual help and unity off the field, targeting a non-sporting goal, because nowadays, the role of a football player is transversal.

In addition, the "Zero Hunger" campaign meets the social purpose of FC Porto, along with its city and region.
