Danny Namaso and Gabriel Veron assured the team will fight until the end, after the 2-1 victory
FC Porto managed to turn the score around against Casa Pia and won 2-1 in matchday 32 of the championship. The scorer of the decisive goal was Danny Namaso, who said he had scored his "most important goal" for the club and stressed that the players "believe until the end". Gabriel Veron, in addition to sharing this belief, was happy "for the victory, for the three points" and also "for having been able to help" with an assist.
Danny Namaso
"We needed this victory, it wasn't easy, but sometimes things go well, sometimes not so well, but we always work hard to give everything, for the fans and for the club. We will keep playing with this spirit to the end. The first half wasn't easy, but we were able to fight back and win the game. As I said, we always have to give it all until the end. That's how we're going to keep playing. There's not a lot of time [to think when the ball gets to you], but, as a forward, I have to think fast and fortunately I scored this important goal. We will believe until the end, it is not over yet and we will give it all. It's the most important goal I've scored."
Gabriel Veron
"I put on a good performance, as did the rest of the team. That team performance is what helped me go in confident and do my best. I’m happy for the victory and for the three points. We know it is difficult, but we will believe until the end, this is FC Porto. [The coach] asked me to play as a winger, I went in to do my best. The coach always tries to do the best for the team, I respect that, I keep working and do my part to grab my opportunities. The fans always help, we were on top to try to score and I'm glad I was able to help."
