Iván Marcano and Gonçalo Borges analysed the blue and white victory in Vila do Conde (2-1)

Soon after being decisive again, as in the previous matchday against Farense, Iván Marcano talked of another "well-played game" for the Dragons in Vila do Conde, who were "persistent in trying to score goals despite things not going well". Gonçalo Borges, who caused panic in the opposing defenders and was at the origin of the first goal, 90 minutes in, stressed that, when he goes in, he "always give it all to help the team with goals, assists and plays" and said that he has been "able to show on the pitch" the confidence he acquires every day at Olival. Now, the team needs to "keep our heads down to work."

Iván Marcano
"It was a well-played game from us, they had one scoring opportunity, which gave them the goal, but we had several, especially in the first half. It was difficult, but, in stoppage time, we turned the result around. The key was to be persistent in trying to get the goals, even though things weren't going well. We had confidence in ourselves and that made the difference."

Gonçalo Borges
"A tricky victory today. We know in a difficult stadium. In the first half, we were on top, we could have scored, but it didn't happen. I always give it all to help the team, I try to help my teammates as best I can with goals, assists and plays. Fortunately, in this game and the previous, we got the win. I feel more and more confident, it's my second year with the main team, I'm getting to embrace who I am better and better and show that on the pitch. That's why I help my teammates and they help me, to help the team. I'm not the coach. When the coach gives me opportunities, I try to do my best and do what he tells me. Whether I go in from the start, from the bench or if I’m in the stands, it doesn't matter. I want to keep my head down and work. It's part of the game. He [Costinha] told me 'I didn't touch you, it was nothing', but it was enough to tackle me and we got the penalty, which was important in the turnaround."
