250 victories as manager of FC Porto
“We work well here, with passion, with ambition, according to the history of our club, but in difficult times we need everyone on board.”

Match analysis
“We are in the Champions League and the general idea after the draw was not the right one and led to different opinions from ours. We are the ones who work and study the opponents and just look at what Shakhtar Donetsk showed in the two games against Barcelona. We are in Portugal and unfortunately it’s normal to disregard other teams. It is always difficult to play against the Belgian champion and we are in the biggest club competition in the world, so every match is difficult. Today I liked the first half, we had situations that we prepared and the players followed what was planned for the game, but lacked some clear head with the ball. In the second half, after the red card, Antwerp lowered their lines and gave less space, but we continued to play impatiently. We continued the streak of missed goals and putt ourselves in a position to concede goals, but we deserved to score the second goal. It was a good win in another tough Champions League match. Congratulations to the players, but there is a path to walk for a team with many young people and that must continue to evolve on a daily basis.”

The penalty taker
"I didn’t see any discussion, as my decision was transmitted to the captain and from there it is resolved. It is determined that Evanilson or Taremi are the ones taking penalties."

Pepe is the oldest ever to score in the Champions League
“He's the most competitive player I've worked with, not only as a coach, but also as a player. He is an amazing competitive beast and puts family and football above everything else. He makes many sacrifices to perform at this level. It’s an honour and a great pleasure to work with a player like Pepe.”

The numbers in the group
"It’s easy to explain how I see it: we won three important points, but now we have to start preparing for Saturday's game against Vitória de Guimarães."
