The decision disclosed today by the Court of Justice of the European Union cannot be used to break the union of the football family, and should be the starting point of a joint effort for a modern, sustainable football, respecting the European tradition of granting access to competitions based only on sporting merit.

As always, FC Porto, one of the most relevant European clubs in the last decades, is available to, together with UEFA, and in conformity with the Portuguese Football Federation and the League of Clubs, contribute to promoting competitions and reaffirming the values of European football.
