Galeno, Wendell and Danny Namaso talked about the victory over Benfica (5-0)

Three of the best on the pitch analysed the team's great performance (5-0) at the end. Galeno said that the team was aware that they could "make the game easy" and gave credit to Sérgio Conceição, who "always prepares well" for the game, before stressing: "We are always attentive and we will fight until the end". Wendell made it clear that the most important thing is “the daily work”, said that the Dragons showed that they are “very strong” and that they want to “have more games like this”. Namaso, who scored “the most important goal of his career”, dedicated the “victory to the players” and stressed that FC Porto “does not deserve to be seven points behind” from the lead.

Galeno
“We knew it wasn't going to be an easy game, but we also knew we could make it easy. We reached a great result and secured a victory. The coach always prepares us well and today was no different. I always try to help my teammates. I want to congratulate everyone on the game the team played. We don’t stop, we are always attentive and we will fight until the end.”

Wendell
“I want to thank God for playing for FC Porto. This comes from daily work. Today we again showed the strength of our team. The work the coach and all the staff did was amazing, we showed that we are very strong when we are completely focused. The result is clear. Today we will celebrate, be happy in the locker room, but tomorrow we already have to focus on the game against Portimonense to play more games like this. We have to be focused every day to play another big game, which is the most important thing. I felt great, the entire team did. When we work together it's always easier. The game got easier in terms of defence because the forwards were pressing upfront. I knew the opportunity to represent my country again would come. This is also the merit of Sérgio Conceição and his staff, all of whom helped me a lot. I’m back in the national team because I have great players and coaches by my side.”

Danny Namaso
“This victory is for all the fans. We always give our best for them, we don't deserve to be seven points behind Sporting. Congratulations to everyone for the victory, we are really happy and we want to keep it that way. It's the most important goal of my career so far. I'm very happy. We have to take these feelings and fight until the end as always.”
