Sérgio Conceição talked after the tie against Famalicão (2-2), at Estádio do Dragão

FC Porto tied this Saturday against Famalicão (2-2), at Estádio do Dragão, for matchday 29 of the League. After the match, Sérgio Conceição regretted the incidents that continue to penalize the team and admitted that the team “must raise our heads”, but only after “we understand why we are not at 100%”. “Out here, people can’t see what is worked on during the week, but we are not getting the results we want and this is the moment we’re in”, added the blue and white coach.

The match analysis
“This is a difficult moment for everyone. For the fans, it certainly is, and they have all the legitimacy to complain because we didn't win. What was strange was that they cheered when we lost to Vitória de Guimarães. I am used to a demanding and passionate audience for the team. Beyond that, it's more of the same in relation to the three teams, it's just a repeated situation. There are people who are intellectually honest and that see the situations in the game as they are. The opponent's first shot was a goal and in the previous game it was an own goal, but then there are questionable situations regarding red cards. Today, one of Famalicão’s player should have seen the second yellow card, but these situations are not worth talking about. There was demerit from us and we should have done more, but this is a difficult moment, for everything. They want to put the North region off the map of sports success.”

The moment of the team
“I felt that the training went well this week, but then there are moments that are barely understandable within our organization and our strategy. From the outside, people can’t see what is worked on during the week, but we are not getting the results we want and this is the moment we’re in. Either we are strong at every level to turn this around, or else it gets difficult. In addition, the third team on the pitch in our games continues to have bad games. It is noticeable, it is very visible, but I will not talk about it anymore. We have to raise our heads after lowering it and understand why we are not at 100%. Everything else, I can't control. We have to be united, because today it is easy to kick FC Porto down, including the third team. It's a very difficult environment and the players feel it.”
