FC Porto tied (2-2) against Famalicão in matchday 29 of the League

After the first 45 minutes, in which the Dragons barely created significant moments of danger next to Famalicão's goal, FC Porto went back for the second half with a renewed attitude, forcing Luiz Júnior to numerous important saves, but still failed to get all three points (2-2). With this result, the Dragons remain third in the table, with 59 points.

Sérgio Conceição sent in a team with five changes – Zé Pedro, Otávio, Marko Grujic, Iván Jaime and Evanilson replaced Pepe, Fábio Cardoso, Alan Varela, Galeno and Danny Namaso – but the opponent was the one scoring first, nine minutes in. In a counterattack, Puma Rodríguez received on the right and crossed to Cádiz, who, between the blue and white central defenders, managed to head for goal.

The Dragons took control of the match, pushed forward and got the tie 17 minutes in. After Evanilson recovered the ball next to the end line, Francisco Conceição dribbled De Haas, entered the area and had his cross go into the goal thanks to the deflection on Zaydou (1-1).

After 45 minutes of blue and white dominance, which still didn’t bring in more goals, Famalicão reached the FC Porto area again with danger and scored. Gustavo Sá received on the right, in stoppage time, and crossed to the far post, where Cádiz made it 2-1.

With the unfavourable result, Conceição changed the team at halftime and sent in Galeno, Alan Varela and Mehdi Taremi at the start of the second half. 54 minutes in, the Iranian striker was an important character in a play in which the protagonists were referee Gustavo Correia and VAR Bruno Esteves. The number 9 entered the area and was brought down by Mihaj in front of the referee, who did not signal a penalty nor was alerted by the referee, who had free access to all angles of the play in Cidade do Futebol.

FC Porto then scored, but Evanilson's shot ended up disallowed. After a run on the left, Galeno entered the area and had his cross deflected by a defender, ending in an incomplete save by the goalkeeper. Francisco Conceição battled for possession of the ball, which was left for the number 30 to score. The referee disallowed the goal as he saw a foul of the number 10 on the goalkeeper.

There were several opportunities for the men in blue and several saves by Luiz Júnior. First it was Evanilson, on the right, bumping into the goalkeeper (65m) and then Nico González, alone in good position, headed, but straight at the goalkeeper (67m). At 73 minutes, Evanilson again saw the goal denied by the number 31, saving the shot into a corner-kick, after which Taremi was also close to scoring.

The disadvantage remained, much to the despair of the thousands of fans at the stands, despite the good response from the team in the second half. 82 minutes in, with Namaso having replaced Wendell to increase the attacking units, Galeno moved up on the left and crossed low into the penalty zone, where Mehdi Taremi made it 2-2.

The game was a one-way street, headed at Famalicão's goal, the bench of the visiting team ignored any order from the fourth official without any apparent consequences and Evanilson was the one being sent-off, in stoppage time. With tenmen, Galeno forced Luiz Júnior to another great save and the tie remained. 2-2 was the final result in matchday 29 of the League.
