Diogo Costa was the spokesperson for the squad after the home tie against Famalicão (2-2)

FC Porto tied this Saturday against Famalicão (2-2), at Estádio do Dragão, for matchday 29 of the League. After the match, Diogo Costa acknowledged that the blue and whites had another bad start to the game and that “there is a lot to improve”, so the teams has "to look inside and be humble". “As a homegrown player, I feel ashamed. It's a lot of work and a lot of bad luck, a lot of people against us. We have to improve our emotional condition and we have to do better ourselves”, added the blue and white captain in this match.

Bad starts have been a constant
“Our state of mind is not the best. We have been having bad starts and we have to look at ourselves, as there is a lot to improve, especially in our head. We have to represent FC Porto in the best possible way and this is not it. There is a lot of criticism to make, we have to look inside and be humble.”

Defence starts on the offense
“When we talk about the defence, that starts with our forwards. We train well, our workweeks are always good, but, once again, we started conceding. We always try to react, but we're always late. There's a lot of anger, it's not easy to deal with, but we have to do better.”

Raise our head and have greater self-control
“As a homegrown player, I feel ashamed. It's a lot of work and a lot of bad luck, a lot of people against us. We have to improve our emotional condition and we have to do better ourselves. We have to be smarter than the opponents, who try to provoke us. We know that we are emotional and have feelings, so we need to have greater emotional control to give more to our club.”
