Gonçalo Borges participated in the Post-Match of Porto Canal
Having scored the goal that confirmed the 2-0 victory over Estrela da Amadora, Gonçalo Borges revealed that the emotion he felt at the celebrations was “the reflection of the hard work” he performs daily to play at FC Porto, “a great pleasure” for the winger.
"Different by nature", the number 70 explained that it has grown in "simplicity of play", an aspect worked on with the help of Vítor Bruno: "the coach often tells me that I don't need to do different things because what I do is already different. He says to just keep doing the simple and when the time comes to do something different it will happen".
Even with the “difficult” task of going in for “five or ten minutes”, Borges also reflected on the “champion mentality” that is necessary on the pitch, assured that “the goal is the tip of the iceberg” and disclosed the secret for future successes: “I try to dive into work because only then will I be able to have something and honour my trajectory”.
