1-1 was the result between FC Porto and Vitória SC at Estádio do Dragão

FC Porto was unable to do better that a 1-1 tie against Vitória SC on matchday 23 of the Portuguese league. Fábio Vieira scored the only goal for the Dragons in front of 44,142 fans at Estádio do Dragão. With this result, the blue and whites now have the same 47 points as SC Braga and are six behind Sporting and Benfica (53).

Martín Anselmi made five changes to the starting team - Zé Pedro, Tomás Pérez, Rodrigo Mora, Gonçalo Borges and Danny Namaso replaced Nehuén Pérez and João Mário (injured), Tiago Djaló, Eustáquio and Samu - but the first shot on goal came off the foot of the returning Alan Varela.

Twelve minutes later, 19 minutes in, Namaso shot wide at the end of a hard-won play and Pepê was replaced by Samu after picking up an injury. The ball actually went in the goal defended by goalkeeper Bruno Varela just before half time, but Namaso was offside when he shot inside the area.

The attacking duo put the opposing defence on their toes at the start of the second half, with Zé Pedro forcing the visiting goalkeeper to punch away a direct free kick and Alan Varela missing the target on the rebound. After the VAR disallowed a goal by Nélson Oliveira for offside, Otavio cleared the ball on the touch line and Martín Anselmi changed the team, replacing Tomás Pérez and Danny Namaso for Tiago Djaló and William Gomes.

The Dragons' high pressure had an effect in the final quarter of the match, when Fábio Vieira opened the scoreboard with a perfect shot (1-0). André Franco and Eustáquio went in, replacing Fábio Vieira and Rodrigo Mora, but a counterattack led by Úmaro Embaló gave the tie in the final moments (1-1).
