Rodrigo Mora scored and was named League MVP in the home victory over AFS (2-0)
FC Porto returned to victories in the league on Saturday, after beating AFS (2-0) at Estádio do Dragão in matchday 26 of the competition. Rodrigo Mora, the scorer of the first goal of the match, voted League MVP, emphasised the “good game” the blue and whites put on and the way they believed “in each other”. “We knew it was important to win", the number 86 added, before thanking “my family and the medical staff for their support” during his time out injured.
A resume of the game
“The team controlled the game well. They had a good chance in the first half, but the truth is that we could have reached the break with a bigger lead. We played a good game and got the three points. The team was more united, we believed in each other and we knew it was important to win. These three points were well deserved.”
Playing with Fábio Vieira in the starting eleven
“We're different players, but we all give a lot to the team, each in our own way. The important thing was getting the three points.”
Back from injury
“My injury progressed and I'm grateful for the support of my family and the medical staff. The coach sent me in from the start and fortunately it went well. I owe a lot to the medical team because they helped me get back as quickly as possible.”
Looking at the chances of getting the title
“We're going to fight until the end, regardless of the opponent. We're only thinking about the three points in each game.”
