FC Porto World Camps to be held in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia

Futebol Clube do Porto has signed a collaboration agreement with The Gate Football Enterprise, with the objective to expand its presence in the southeast Asia, namely in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei and Malaysia, with a particular focus on opening Dragon Force football schools.

The agreement includes a series of exclusive events, such as FC Porto Youth Football Tours and World Camps, which will allow young local players to train with FC Porto coaches under the club’s methodology. In collaboration with the FC Porto Football Sciences Institute, development programs for coaches and Match-Day experiences in the city of Porto are also planned. The FC Porto Youth Football Tours will take place in the city of Porto and are aimed at young players aged 8 to 17 from Southeast Asia. These programs will offer and immersive experience in the universe of FC Porto, including intense training sessions under the guidance of the club’s coaches, friendly matches, performance analysis, and exclusive visits to Estádio do Dragão and the FC Porto Museum. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to attend an official FC Porto match, whenever the schedule allows.

FC Porto World Camps will be held in the countries covered by the partnership – Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Singapore – and will be led by FC Porto coaches. Over five days, participants will benefit from an intensive program covering technical, tactical, and position-specific aspects, including goalkeeper training. The first FC Porto World Camp is schedule for June this year.

Founded in 2021, The Gate Football Enterprise has a strong presence in the region and is primarily focused on creating ideal conditions for FC Porto to help develop the skills of young players and coaches in the Southeast Asia.

Jaino, CEO of The Gate stated that “the main goal is to build a bridge between Southeast Asia football and European excellence”.

“Through the various events we will be holding, young players from Indonesia and the region will have access to elite football training and professional assessments. Beyond football development, we aim to strengthen FC Porto’s presence in the region, inspiring young footballers and their families with a deeper understanding of what it takes to succeed at the highest level”, he explained.

Ricardo Frey Ramos, Executive Manager of Dragon Force, emphasized the importance of this partnership: “The collaboration with The Gate Football Enterprise represents an excellent opportunity to explore new markets, which will allow the Club to strengthen its international presence and open the door to new strategic partnerships. We are excited with the possibility of bringing our philosophy, working methods, and training approach to many children and young people in the Southeast Asia, contributing to their athletic and personal development. Furthermore, the training and qualification of coaches will be a key pillar of this project, ensuring that the knowledge and experience gained have a lasting impact on football in the region.
