Rodrigo Mora has been named the Best Midfielder in Portuguese football for the month of April. With seven goals in the last eight league matches — three of them in April — the newly turned 18-year-old played a decisive role in FC Porto’s victories over Estoril (2-1), in Rio Maior (1-0), against Famalicão (2-1), and at Bessa (2-1). The talented youngster adds the Midfielder of the Month award to the eight Man of the Match distinctions he collected during the second half of the league season.

In the monthly vote organised by Liga Portugal among coaches of the top flight, the FC Porto number 86 earned 27.78% of the votes, finishing ahead of Benfica’s Orkun Kökçü (17.46%) and Vitória SC’s João Mendes (11.11%).
