FC Porto lost to Inter Miami in the second matchday of the Club World Cup (1-2)

FC Porto conceded a 1-2 loss in the second matchday of the Club World Cup. With the defeat in Atlanta, the Dragons are third in Group A, three points behind Inter Miami and Palmeiras. The last match will be against Al Ahly on Tuesday (02h00, TVI/DAZN).

Cláudio Ramos was the first to take action to stop Luis Suárez, just before João Mário was brought down inside the area. After being warned by the VAR, the referee pointed to the penalty spot, from where Samu opened the scoreboard (1-0). After Rodrigo Mora came close to scoring, Alan Varela shot wide but the ball hit the post with power.

The American team came out on top in the second half and managed to turn the game around with goals from Segovia and Lionel Messi. Martín Anselmi responded by sending in Eustáquio and Gonçalo Borges and the winger was the source of the first sign of danger in the second half, offering a header to Francisco Moura that was saved by Ustari. William Gomes replaced Alan Varela and created danger the first time he touched the ball, Samu headed wide, Deniz Gül and Otavio were sent in to replace Iván Marcano and Francisco Moura, but the result remained unchanged until the final whistle.
