Alberto Costa emphasised the importance of “suffocating the opponent from the start” after the victory in the 14th matchday of the League (3-1)
Returning to the starting line-up on matchday 14 of the League, Alberto Costa highlighted “the attitude the team had to turn things around” after conceding a goal that tied the match against Estrela da Amadora (3-1) and explained that the squad likes to “be on top of the opponent and feel that we are suffocating from the start”.
Emphasising the importance of having the players and the fans “united”, not least because “the fans make all the difference”, the right fullback explained that the intensity comes from collective sacrifice: “If I look to the side and my teammates are giving their all, I'm going to give my all too. If I'm giving my all, they're going to give their all too. We have to inspire each other”.
