Over 130 years of history provide space for many moments, characters, and locations. Some, due to their symbolism and relevance, create a connection that will last forever. Dublin is one of them.

On May 18, 2011, Guarín crossed, Falcao headed, and FC Porto's journey to its second Europa League title was complete. It was an unforgettable odissey, with stops in Spain, Bulgaria, Turkey, Russia, and Austria, before culminating in the Irish capital.

In the year that marks the 15th anniversary of the seventh international title in the blue and white club's history, FC Porto, in partnership with New Balance, is launching an unprecedented fourth kit that pays tribute to this journey that so many Porto fans still remember by heart.

Based on the lightning bolt, the defining element of that season's main kit stripes—the one used in the final at Aviva Stadium—a new alternative jersey has been created, which is the reverse of the 2011 away kit, used, for example, in the unforgettable victory in Vienna, in a game played under a blanket of snow.

Now navy blue predominates over the thin yellow lightning bolt-shaped stripes. This reverses the logic of 15 years ago, giving rise to a new world and the opportunity for new and fresh memories.

Silvestre Varela, one of the heroes of that journey, is the face of the launch campaign, inspired by the atmosphere of Irish pubs and filmed at Bar Bonaparte Downtown, recreating the spirit experienced by blue and white fans in Irish streets and pubs, with a special focus on the legendary Temple Bar.

“That season was memorable and is rightly remembered as one of FC Porto's best ever. All the fans still often share stories with me about the games on that journey, stories about Dublin, the atmosphere in the city, the game... Many memories that are also mine and that this shirt brings back,” says the player.

The former winger, who started in the Dublin final, particularly remembers the game in Vienna where the kit that inspired the current one was worn: “It was one of the most special games of that journey, without a doubt. This kit is a fitting tribute to that game, but above all to that entire historic season.”

This special edition, available exclusively at FC Porto Stores and the FC Porto Online Store, includes a commemorative badge marking the 15th anniversary of the triumph in Dublin. At the same time, another version, without the badge, is also available in official FC Porto stores and at other New Balance retail locations.

Like the entire 2025/26 collection, it was created using NB Dry technology, which keeps players cool and dry from the first minute to the last.

Fifteen years later, the lightning bolts that swept through the 2011 Europa League like a winning typhoon return to Porto's kit and serve as inspiration for the second half of 2025/26.
