André Miranda made his debut in FC Porto's victory over FC Arouca (3-1)
André Miranda made his debut for FC Porto's first team in the victory over FC Arouca (3-1) and did not hide his happiness for having “contributed to the team's success”: “I was nervous when I came on, but I was eager to help. There was a play where I won a rebound, and when I heard the crowd celebrating, I felt even more determination and desire”. After thanking Francesco Farioli for giving him “the opportunity to play at Estádio do Dragão” and João Brandão for “helping him grow”, the 18-year-old forward assured that he is “a very different person than he was at the beginning of the season”.
Victory with a dedication
“I want to send a message of strength, on behalf of myself and the team, to Borja Sainz, who is going through a difficult time. This victory was for him.”
Debut at Estádio do Dragão
“Whether it's one minute or 90 minutes, I always try to give my best and contribute to the team's success. Today it worked out for me. I am very grateful to coach Francesco Farioli, who gave me the opportunity to make my debut at Estádio do Dragão, and to coach João Brandão, who has helped me grow.”
Dreams drive life
“I've always dreamed of this. It was a great start because we managed to get the result on our side, which was the most important thing.”
Support from the fans
“I was breathless, I came on nervous, but eager to help the team. There was a play where I got a rebound, and when I heard the crowd cheering, I felt even more determination and desire.”
Messages from teammates
“The team gave me strength, they told me I was going to come on and change the game. Everyone congratulated me on my debut.”
The result of hard work
“I’ve been training with the first team for some time now. Coach Farioli calls me up for training sessions and I feel that I’ve improved, which helps me in the B team, makes me grow and become more mature. I think that was reflected in the game. I’m a very different person from who I was at the start of the season.”
