FC Porto qualified to the Round of 16 of the Portuguese Cup, after beating Vitória de Setúbal 4-0, at Estádio do Dragão, for the fourth round of the competition. Mbemba (35m), Fábio Silva (42m), Jubal (56m, own goal), and Marega (59m) were the scorers.

Returning to competition, FC Porto quickly showed what they wanted, only needing 17 minutes to create the first play of real danger: after a good team play, Tecatito Corona hit the post. The blue and white superiority gained an even bigger expression after André Sousa was shown the red card for tackling Corona when he was about to face Makaridze alone (32m).

From the free-kick, Alex Telles shot with power and the opposing goalkeeper was unable to hold the ball, with Mbemba just pushing it in with his head (35m). The Dragons increased the pressure and both Danilo (37m) and Marega (41m) came close to increasing the lead, but Fábio Silva would be the one doing it. Corona found Otávio and the Brazilian passed to the young striker, making it 2-0 (42m).

The second-half started with two more dangerous shots for FC Porto, both 48 minutes in, by Otávio and Corona, with Makaridze stopping them in style. Still, the goalkeeper was powerless to stop an own goal scored by Jubal, following a cross from Corona (56m). The victory became even bigger shortly after, when Corona passed to Marega for the final 4-0 (59m), with Nakajima (87m) and Loum (89m) hitting the posts.
