FC Porto failed to qualify to the final four of the League Cup after losing to Vitória SC (1-3) on Thursday at Estádio do Dragão in the last match for quarter finals of the competition. Acknowledging that this “was not the result we wanted”, Francesco Farioli stressed the importance of “turning the page quickly” and responding strongly next Sunday in Tondela (20h30). “The fans gave us the boost we needed to turn the page during the game, but especially afterwards”, added the Italian coach.

I'm only sorry for some dynamics that left me speechless, but we have to turn the page and think about Sunday's game. In my opinion, the first half was very good and we should have gone into the break with the lead, but we have to accept the result, even though we could have done more.”
