12 seasons with the FC Porto shirt, over 380 matches, almost 150 goals scored and many titles. Domingos is, still today, an idol for an entire generation of blue and white fans, and he will play again, now for FC Porto Vintage, in the match against Real Madrid Leyendas, scheduled for March 29, at Santiago Bernabéu.

“The expectations are good. Knowing of the team we’re building, we have good expectations for the match. We will join forces again, having left our careers in the distant past, but it’s always nice to get together with friends and opponents that were part of a generation in Spanish football”, the former striker stated.

Having played for only two clubs in his career (FC Porto and Tenerife), Domingos started playing in season 1987/88, after the victory in Vienna. He was a promising player, in a team full of stars coached by Tomislav Ivic. It was at the time that, interestingly enough, he faced Real Madrid, for the first and only time playing for FC Porto.

“We faced Real Madrid in my first year as a senior, when Ivic was the coach, but I didn’t play. Either way, it’s always a legendary stadium, and any player wants to return there. At least, to relive moments that happened there”, the former player explained, having played at Santiago Bernabéu for Tenerife.

The charity part of the match is also important for the former number 9: “Football has a deep impact internationally and great influence. Football should be available as much as possible, to help in several causes. We hope that everyone can contribute.”

The tickets for the match cost 5 Euros and may be purchased at www.entradas.com. The revenues of the match will be used to help children that are under the scope of the projects for social inclusion of Foundation Real Madrid, spread through all continents.
