Portuguese international goalkeeper, 28, reinforces FC Porto

Cláudio Ramos reinforces FC Porto and signed for four seasons, until 2024. The international Portuguese goalkeeper, 28, did his training at Sport Clube Paivense, at Académico de Viseu, at Repenenses and at Vitória de Guimarães, from where he was loaned to Amarante (2010/11) and to Tondela (2011/12). This was where Cláudio Ramos played in the last nine seasons, having been called by Fernando Santos to play for the Portuguese national team. From April 9, 2017, to May 5, 2020, Cláudio Ramos played 103 consecutive matches in the championship for Tondela, a record in Portuguese football. From now on, he is one of the men defending FC Porto’s goal.

The biggest challenge in his career
“This is the biggest challenge in my career, but I’ve always enjoyed challenges, and I feel I am prepared. Now it’s up to me to work and show my quality. I know my value and I am here to help.”

A club and a city that are like family
“This is FC Porto we are talking about. I always had the feeling that everyone here is like family, as they are a united club, and they feed on that union, together with the city. I hope to fit in as quickly as possible in this family, as I know this is the biggest club in Portugal. I am very happy to be here.”

Message to the fans
“What I can promise is that I will always give my best and do all I can so that, together, we can win even more titles than those that FC Porto already won.”
