Blue and White players praised the fairness of the Victory over the Portuguese Cup after the victory over SC Braga (2-0)

FC Porto won the 19th Portuguese Cup in its history after beating SC Braga, 2-0, this Sunday, in the final played at Estádio do Jamor. After the match against Braga, the players talked of a deserved victory and considered the season to be positive, as the Dragons won three of the four national titles. The championship eluded them, but the goal for 2023/24 is to win everything.

Diogo Costa
"From the outside, it's harder, but it was good to see my teammates giving everything for our club. Cláudio Ramos has been an excellent teammate and friend, so I'm happy that he played and that the team won. We didn't reach our main goal, but we always gave our best. We would have liked to have won all four trophies, but unfortunately it was not possible. Playing for the club of my heart is always a pleasure and an honour. It's a different club and one that I love."

Cláudio Ramos
"I'm very happy for this moment. It is an indescribable feeling to be able to celebrate this achievement with our fans. Playing more or less, we are all prepared to play and that is why FC Porto has this strength. We've won three titles out of a possible four. We wanted all four, but it was still a positive season."

Pepe
"We were far better and we deserved to be winning already in the first half. It's gratifying to be a part of this team and this club. This group works hard and honours this symbol. It was a very positive season, with three titles out of a possible four. I'm thrilled with this title as if it were the first. To see the dedication of our fans to our club... There are no words! We can only thank all of them for all the support they give us."

Fábio Cardoso
"We were far better and that can be seen in the score. This victory gives us even more motivation to keep working and winning. It was a well-played game from us and the team is to be congratulated. The fans are vital and these victories are only achieved because we have fans like them."

Zaidu
"It was a victory we really wanted. We are happy for ourselves and for our fans, who are incredible. We didn’t win the championship, but their passion is fantastic. We wanted to win everything, but we won three trophies out of a possible four."

Marko Grujic
"We're very happy, it's an amazing feeling. It was the best way to end this season."

Matheus Uribe
"I'm happy for the victory because we deserved it. We did things very well and ended the season with a positive balance. It wasn't a perfect season because we didn't win the league, but we won three trophies and we have to be proud."

Eustaquio
"We were the best team on the pitch. Even with 10, we held on and were better. SC Braga is an excellent team, but we didn't give them room to move and we put on a great performance. We wanted to win all four national trophies, but we won three and it's still positive. It was an exhausting journey, even in the Champions League, but we played for everything until the last minute. We won three trophies, but we are FC Porto and it’s not enough, because we wanted them all. We'll go after them next season."

André Franco
"It was a positive season, but not perfect. We are the best team in Portugal and we deserve this Cup. We have to thank our fans because wherever we go, it feels like we're playing at home."

Otávio
"The support from the fans is amazing, it's been like this all season. They made sure we never gave up. It was for them that we won three titles out of a possible four. Now we have to work so that next season we can win all four. I'm happy at FC Porto and I'm staying."

Pepê
"We won another title, I'm happy for the season we did. It could have been better, but to end this way is rewarding. I feel privileged to play so many games in a great team like FC Porto. The support of our fans was key for us."

Mehdi Taremi
"We had a great attitude from start to finish. We put on a great performance and won fairly, with great support from our fans. It was fantastic. Now we have to celebrate. We've won three trophies and we have to be proud of that."

Toni Martínez
"It's a very special day for us and this edition of the Portuguese Cup was very special for me. It was the icing on the cake. We suffered with Wendell being sent-off, but we gave everything and FC Porto is this. Fighting is not negotiable for this team."
