Blue and white players praised the seriousness of the team in the victory over Montalegre (4-0)

After beating Montalegre (4-0), at Estádio do Dragão, in round 4 of the Portuguese Cup, FC Porto secured a spot in the round of 16 of the competition. Danny Namaso and Fran Navarro, scoring their first goals this season, with the Spanish forward actually scoring his first as a FC Porto player, praised the fairness of the blue and white triumph and the way the team led by Sérgio Conceição was serious from start to finish. Evanilson, with two goals, considered that the victory was built “naturally”.

Danny Namaso
“Victory was the most important thing, because this is a competition we have to win. We have to fight to win the Portuguese Cup every season and today was a good match for us. We have to work hard, even in these games against teams from lower divisions. In Portugal all teams are strong and we have to look at all matches in the same way. It's always good to score and help the team, but I also missed a few goals, so I have to keep working to improve in that regard.”

Fran Navarro
“It was a big change for me and I came to a club where the demand is high. I am very happy to have scored my first goal and I hope it will be the first of many. The first goal is always the hardest. The team was always fully focused and we deserved to win.”

Evanilson
“I'm happy for the goals and for helping the team. We played well, that's why the goals came naturally. Now we have to think about the Champions League and work hard in the coming days so that we can go to Barcelona and play a great game.”
