FC Porto started the League Cup on the wrong foot and lost any chance of winning the trophy again. This Wednesday, at Estádio António Coimbra da Mota, the Dragons had to get points to keep dreaming of the Final Four, but lost the match and are out of the competition. After the 3-1 defeat, captain Fábio Cardoso stated that "there is a lot to work on, a lot to improve" and assured that "the focus is already on the game against Casa Pia".

“We should have scored more and conceded less. Now the coach will look at what we have to improve, and we have to improve because that's what we want. Without removing any credit from Estoril, there’s a lot of demerit of ours. We have to keep working, we have to improve and that's what we're going to do now, focusing on the next game.”

“We want to win every game in every competition we play for. The League Cup was no exception, but now we have to look at what we have left to play for and keep working to win the games we have left, starting with next Saturday against Casa Pia.”
