The renewal of the identification document of all blue and white fans opens the door to a world of new possibilities: from now on, any member with an Apple or Google smartphone can carry their FC Porto member card in the Wallet, in digital format.

All because FC Porto has just become the first Portuguese club to fully implement Near Field Communication (NFC) technology in its devices and infrastructures.

Found in some of the main European stadiums, this new technology stands out for being user-friendly and very easy to use. On iPhones, for example, just double-click on the side lock button to open the Wallet, which works offline and can be managed together with other documents.

This is where the true owners of the Club start to carry their pride. The digital wallets of the iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) operating systems are already a reality in the present and a guarantee for the future, as we are talking about systems capable of storing plane tickets, as well as tickets for shows, and bank, health, and loyalty cards and, from now on, FC Porto's member card.

The compatibility of the new member card with other sectors of activity is just one of the many advantages of adopting the new technology, which offers users more security, reliability and convenience.

An email with the new digital card (and the instructions to download it in the Wallet) has already been sent to all members with less than six months of overdue fees and can be used immediately.

Annual Seat holders will soon no longer find the QR code of their ticket in the FC Porto App and all access will be concentrated in the Wallet. From October, the new physical member card, already in sent by post, and the new digital version of it, already available to install in the Wallet, will become the only devices accepted at the Club's facilities.

The Portal and the App will still contain data regarding fees, Annual Seat and tickets purchased, in addition to all the information relevant to Dragons of body and soul.

FC Porto's new member card will be presented at 12h00 this Thursday at the Presidential Box of Estádio do Dragão and in Porto Canal.
