18-year-old prodigy scored FC Porto's first goal at Estádio do Bessa (2-1)
Blue and white remain as the predominant colours in Porto. This Sunday, in the 152nd edition of the city derby, FC Porto beat Boavista 2-1 and is alone in the third place of the championship with 68 points, ahead of SC Braga (65) and behind the rivals from Lisbon (79). Rodrigo Mora and Iván Marcano scored the goals at Estádio do Bessa.
Diogo Costa (recovered from injury) and Alan Varela (returned after being banned) started and watched closely the opportunities that Samu and Fábio Vieira had in the first two minutes - a shot from the number 9 to the side net and another from the number 10 that Vaclik saved with difficulty.
At the quarter hour, after a cross from Varela from the right, Marcano jumped alone and missed the target, but the best moment of the day would come shortly after, when Rodrigo Mora received the ball on the left, dribbled all the opponents that appeared in front of him and placed it near the far post (0-1).
Five minutes later, at 20, Nehuén Pérez took advantage of a spare ball from a corner kick, finished on his back with his right foot and Marcano deflected it to the back of the net (0-2). Boavista would benefit from an unusual penalty committed by the Argentinian central defender to reduce the advantage shortly after (1-2).
At the hour mark, Fábio Vieira led a counterattack along the middle and offered the goal to Samu, but the striker's shot bumped into Vaclik again - as well as the next one, which bumped into the Czech goalkeeper after a beautiful job on the left wing.
With Pepê replacing Rodrigo Mora, Francisco Moura moved up on the left and served Fábio Vieira, who shot slightly over the top bar before Martim Fernandes and Tomás Pérez replaced João Mário and Eustáquio. Before the end of the match, Nehuen Pérez saw the second yellow card.
