Despite the victory against SC Braga (2-1), Gabri Veiga acknowledged that “some things need to be improved”
FC Porto regained sole possession of first place in the league, three points ahead of Sporting, after beating SC Braga (2-1) on Sunday at Estádio do Dragão in matchday 10 of the competition. After the match, Gabri Veiga emphasised that Braga were the only team to be “superior” to the blue and whites “at various moments”, but it was worth it for the three points and now they have to “think about the next game”. “We managed to win, but we need to improve some things”, the Spanish midfielder concluded.
It was worth it for the victory
“It wasn't a great game for the team, but we played against a very good opponent who made us go through some uncomfortable moments. I myself didn't feel comfortable in the second half, but the most important thing is that we won and now we have to think about the next game.”
A strong SC Braga at Estádio do Dragão
“So far, they have been the only team that has been superior to us at times. We managed to win, but we need to improve some things.”
The pass for Borja Sainz's goal
“I know how to adapt to any position on the pitch, although I was surprised, but it's the coach's decision and I have to accept it and give my best. Borja [Sainz] deserves more credit than me for the goal.”
