Winning by 2-0, FC Porto ended up allowing Sporting to tie (2-2) in matchday 31 of the League

FC Porto was winning 2-0 86 minutes in, but ended up tying 2-2 against Sporting, at Estádio do Dragão, in matchday 31 of the League. With this result, the blue and whites remain third in the table, with 63 points, 18 behind the leader Sporting.

With four new faces in the team, after the match against Casa Pia, including the debut of Martim Fernandes, FC Porto showed great personality from the start and it only needed seven minutes to open the scoreboard: a bad pass from goalkeeper Franco Israel ended up in Francisco Conceição, who passed to Pepê and the Brazilian international midfielder passed to his countryman Evanilson, who beat the opposing goalkeeper with a lot of class. The team from Lisbon tried to tie with Pedro Gonçalves (9m) and Paulinho (16m), but the Dragons were the ones scoring again.

The youngster Martim Fernandes got the ball in the midfield, moved up in a great individual play and offered the goal to Pepê, who made it count and increased the lead to 2-0 close to halftime (2-0). The second half didn’t change the tone of the game significantly, and FC Porto was controlling the lead safely, unsuspecting of what would come in the final moments. Without having done anything to justify it, Sporting reduced to 2-1 thanks to Victor Gyökeres (87m), and the Swedish striker would score again shortly after, making it 2-2 in one of the easiest goals of his career (88m). In exactly one minute, FC Porto conceded a tie, when they were on top almost all the entire classic.
