The result at Estádio de São Miguel eliminates FC Porto from the League Cup. On Tuesday night, the Dragons went to Ponta Delgada and lost to Santa Clara, 3-1, fully ending any aspirations of reaching the Final Four of the competition for the fifth consecutive season. After the end of the match, Mehdi Taremi addressed the large number of missed opportunities for the blue and whites, refusing to accept there’s fatigue caused by a full schedule, and making a promise: “We will keep working”.
